The Chicago Bulls aren't known for pretty victories, and that's gone double for when Tom Thibodeau's crew has been without reigning MVP Derrick Rose. Friday night was no exception, as the Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons 83-71 at the United Center despite not even reaching the 85-point plateau.
The Bulls were powered by strong play from its frontcourt, with both Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer putting up double-doubles on the night. Noah was second on the Bulls in points with 19 and first in rebounds with 12 while Boozer contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds. Luol Deng, who led Chicago with 20 points, was one rebound away from joining the double-double crew. The Bulls as a team dominated the Pistons on the glass, grabbing 53 boards to Detroit's 37.
The Bulls will take Saturday off as they travel south to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in a nationally televised showdown.
