The Chicago Bulls entered the fourth quarter down by two points after trailing the Toronto Raptors at the end of each preceding quarter, but the Bulls managed to narrow the deficit and push the game to overtime, both teams tied at 94. And despite entering the 4th quarter with just 10 points, PG C.J. Watson -- starting for the injured PG Derrick Rose -- played exceptionally through the fourth quarter and finished regulation with 23 points as he landed several key three-pointers to help the Bulls back into the game.
With under a minute remaining, Amir Johnson landed an alley-oop dunk to give the Raptors a 94-93 lead, but Watson responded with drive to the net and a successful, game-tying free throw to put the game at 94-94. When the Raptors got the ball back, they drained the shot clock to its waning moments -- attempting to leave the Bulls with less than 10 seconds in their final possession -- but despite several near-misses and a pair of offensive rebounds, the Raptors were unable to score, but got the ball on a debatable out of bounds call.
With just ticks remaining on the game clock, the Raptors got the ball to a wide-open C Andrea Bargnani, who fired a three-point attempt that popped halfway into the goal and then back out to send the game to overtime.
