You wouldn't expect the Chicago Bulls to easily handle the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center without star guard Derrick Rose, but through a half, that's exactly what's happening. The Bulls will take a 48-33 lead into the third quarter on Monday night behind strong efforts from power forward Carlos Boozer and reserve point guard John Lucas III.
Boozer leads Chicago with 16 points and five rebounds on 8-of-10 shooting at halftime. Lucas has 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting including three makes from three-point range. Luol Deng has eight points at the half.
Orlando lost to the Miami Heat last night, and are playing decidedly uninspired basketball thus far. Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson each have eight points at the half. Small forward Hedo Turkoglu has five points for Orlando at the break.
