Heat Vs. Bulls Score Update: Chicago Trails 23-19 After 1st Quarter

Games between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat generally feel like an event to be witnessed, but with guard Derrick Rose sitting tonight because of a groin injury, it doesn't feel like there's as much at stake. Even still, Chicago wants to keep Miami from catching them atop the Eastern Conference in the loss column. After a quarter, Miami leads Chicago 23-19.

All of the Heat's points were scored by LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. James ends the quarter with 14 points and three rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting. Wade has nine points on 4-of-8 shooting.

Chicago is led by Ronnie Brewer, who has six points. Taj Gibson has eight points and three offensive rebounds already.

What's also troubling for Chicago is that guard C.J. Watson -- Rose's backup -- appeared to have re-injured his ankle. Watson remained in the game, but was seen hobbling for a few possessions.
