Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls PG Won't Play Against Miami

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose will sit out of Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat while dealing with a sore groin, as the team announced. Rose was a game-time decision for the game along with back-up C.J. Watson, who is suiting up to start in place of the reigning MVP.

Replacing Rose on the roster for the night is veteran Mike James, who was recently signed to another 10-day contract as Chicago searches for some backcourt depth. The star point guard took a good deal of hard contact in Chicago's last game against the New York Knicks, and the team says that they're just giving Rose a rest to avoid excessive wear and tear.

Watson has been sidelined lately with a sprained left ankle, but he's going on Wednesday for the first time since March 4. It's also been confirmed that Luol Deng will start for Chicago tonight after missing the team's past two games.
