If the first quarter is any indication, the point guard matchup tonight in the Chicago Bulls vs. San Antonio Spurs game will be something special. Chicago trails the Spurs 22-20 after the first quarter in what has been an exciting albeit relatively low-scoring opening period. The point guards ruled the day: Derrick Rose has 11 points, San Antonio's Tony Parker has eight points, three rebounds and two assists. Chicago should just be happy Rose is still in the game: he went down with a terrifying knee injury midway through the quarter, but returned after a commercial break to not miss a second.
Forward DeJuan Blair has four points and four rebounds for the Spurs. Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah each have four points for Chicago.
The Bulls shot just 7-of-27 (25.9 percent) in the first quarter
