Earlier Tuesday, Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau was optimistic that shooting guard Richard Hamilton would be able to get back into the lineup -- pending his performance during warmups.

Shortly before the start of Tuesday's game against New Orleans, the Bulls announced that Hamilton would indeed return to the lineup.

Hamilton has missed 13 straight games but will return back to his place in the starting lineup.

With a game that involves constant motion and running off of screens, Thibodeau is hoping it’s an easy transition.

"He’s been around a long time and it’s a long time to be off," said Thibodeau. "Hopefully, he can pick up where he left off."

Hamilton is averaging 14.2 points per game this season.
