2012 NBA All Star Game: Chicago's Derrick Rose Uncertain Due To Injury

Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau, who also happens to be coaching the Eastern Conference roster in the 2012 NBA All Star Game, told reporters on Wednesday that he's uncertain of whether Bulls point guard Derrick Rose would play in the game.

Rose has been dealing with a back injury of late and has missed three consecutive games with the injury. An MRI revealed that there's no structural damage to his back, but the Bulls don't want to push their star player too hard.

We'll see where (the back situation) is when we get there. We just want to do what's best. We don't know how it will be. That's down the road.

Rose was voted into the game as a starter for the second consecutive season after leading Chicago to the NBA's top record thus far. He's averaging 22 points and 7.8 assists per game in 23 games with the Bulls this season.
