Bulls Vs. 76ers Score Update: Philadelphia Leads Chicago 49-44 At Halftime

The Philadelphia 76ers are leading 49-44 against the Chicago Bulls going into halftime on Wednesday night. After the 76ers ended the first quarter on a 16-4 run, the two teams played nearly evenly in the second quarter and now the Bulls trail by just five points. Philadelphia has only lost at home twice this season.

The advantage that Philadelphia has had in this game is minimal. Both teams are shooting an identical 49 percent from the field so far and rebounding has been nearly equal. Really, the 76ers' only obvious advantage so far has been at the free throw line, where they have made 5-of-6 while the Bulls have made just 1-of-3.

Derrick Rose was impressive in the first half for Chicago, leading all scorers with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting while dishing six assists. The Bulls also got a solid half from Carlos Boozer, who added eight points and seven rebounds. Philadelphia got key performances from its bench, as Sixth Man of the Year candidate Thaddeus Young scored 11 points to lead the team while fellow reserve Lavoy Martin added eight points.
