NBA trade rumors: Suns reportedly interested in Bulls SG Rip Hamilton

The Bulls' most obvious trade candidate is reportedly garnering the interest of the Phoenix Suns.

The Phoenix Suns have shown some interest in possibly acquiring Chicago Bulls shooting guard Richard Hamilton before this year's trade deadline, CSN Chicago's Aggrey Sam reports. In his "Christmas mailbag," Sam says that any trade made by the Bulls during this season will likely involve the veteran guard.

"Other than Hamilton, I don't see any other players on the roster potentially getting moved, though injuries and simply a deal that management feels they can't turn down could change things," Sam wrote. The Bulls could certainly use another scoring option and ball handler, but the cost may be prohibitive at this juncture.

While Sam questioned whether Hamiltion would necessarily want to play for a non-contender like the Suns, they could use his veteran presence on the wings. Shannon Brown and Jared Dudley have been the starters at shooting guard for Phoenix this season, but those players probably fit better in bench roles at this point.
