The Chicago Bulls will try to bounce back from their worst offensive effort of the season on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics after falling to the Memphis Grizzlies 80-71 on Monday night. The Bulls had one of their worst defensive efforts of the season the last time the Celtics came to the United Center, losing 101-95 on Nov. 12.
The Bulls (13-10) shot a dismal 37.3 percent from the field against the Grizzlies on Monday and were outrebounded 51-39. Kirk Hinrich made his return on Monday after missing two games with a knee injury, and the Bulls hope his defense can help slow Rajon Rondo and the Celtics on Tuesday night. Hinrich did not play when the Celtics beat the Bulls in November.
The Celtics (12-11) are coming off back-to-back losses to the Rockets and Spurs, both games in which Rondo struggled. The Celtics' point guard turned the ball over seven times in each game and is averaging 5.5 turnovers over Boston's last six games.
The Bulls need a win to keep pace with the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers who face off on Tuesday and are both only a half game behind Chicago in the Central Division standings.
