The Chicago Bulls are still waiting on the return of star point guard Derrick Rose, but coach Tom Thibodeau says that Rose is progressing as expected. Thibodeau said "(Rose) is right on schedule."
Rose tore his ACL in Game 1 of the Chicago Bulls opening round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers last season. Rose underwent surgery on May 12 and has been rehabbing to return sometime during the 2012-13 season. There is no timetable for Rose's return, but the typical recovery time is at least eight months. It is known that Rose is expected back at some point during the season.
Thibodeau stressed the need for patience with Rose and said, "the guys that we have available are focused on improvement and our next opponent, and at some point he'll rejoin us."
Chicago is 12-9 and leading the Central Division without Rose. They next take on the Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday.
