Bulls reaction: Recent triumphs don't trump poor offseason

Bulls fans were excited about the recent extension to head coach Tom Thibodeau, but that doesn't erase their disappointment in the offseason on the while.

Bulls fans have had plenty of reason for optimism over the last several seasons, but the 2012 offseason has left a sour taste in many fans mouths. The folks over at Blog A Bull (SB Nation's Bulls blog) didn't seem too happy with some of the comments made by Gar Forman on media day. Comments made to seemingly lower expectations didn't sit well, as you can see from the following:

"And indeed, when asked on Monday about the lowered expectations of the team this season, Gar certainly didn't sound like someone helming a 'go for it' type of Org. direction. He instead talked in platitudes about the team being the best they can be, not the best among other teams in the league. And we've all heard that 'promise' of a more aggressive future before, and I hope we don't completely buy."

The writers at Blog A Bull were happy with the pair's comments about Derrick Rose, particularly slowing down any talk of the point guard being ahead of schedule. The Bulls will be opening their season on Wednesday, October 31, at home against the Sacramento Kings.
