Nate Robinson has thrived so far this preseason when he's started in place of a banged-up Kirk Hinrich and he continued that trend on Friday night in South Bend. Robinson scored 21 points on 7-10 shooting and added eight assists in Chicago's 97-90 victory over the Pacers.
Chicago's starting unit carried the load throughout the game. Every starter was in double digits while the leading scorer from the second unit was Taj Gibson with nine points (to go along with 11 rebounds). Luol Deng chipped in with 17 points and seven rebounds, Joakim Noah put up 12 points and nine rebounds and Carlos Boozer posted 13 points and six rebounds.
With Hinrich absent, rookie Marquis Teague saw nearly 11 minutes of game action, but missed his one shot and only totaled one assist and one rebound. Marco Belinelli was a bit more encouraging, scoring seven points on 3-5 shooting.
Friday night's game wrapped up the preseason for the Bulls, who will open the regular season on Wednesday at home vs. the Sacramento Kings.
