Chicago (1-1) is fresh off an 86-83 loss to Cleveland in a game played at the University of Illinois. One positive the Bulls took away from the loss was a 32-13 third quarter advantage that largely cut into Cleveland's 50-29 halftime lead.
On the downside, Chicago's bench scored 38 points on 10-of-37 shooting from the floor, and 0-for-10 from 3-point range. The committed nine turnovers in the loss.
The Bulls' bench is mostly new to the team, but experienced. Heading into Saturday's game with the Timberwolves, they'll need to work on becoming more cohesive as a team.
The Timberwolves will use the game for much of the same reason. Working in free agents Brandon Roy, Andrei Kirilenko and Alexey Shved, all in the absence of Ricky Rubio, is the team's top priority.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be aired locally on WGN.
