The Bulls got off to a hot start from the field on Monday night and took an early 12-4 lead, but the Detroit Pistons were able to respond with a run late in the quarter to tie the score at 21 heading into the second.
Derrick Rose scored nine points and handed out four assists to lead Chicago in the quarter, while Ronnie Brewer and Carlos Boozer each have six points. Chicago was 8-19 from the field, including 1-5 from three-point range.
Greg Monroe leads Detroit with six points, and Tayshaun Prince and Will Bynum have each scored four points. The Pistons picked up the shooting after a slow start and finished 9-16 from the field.
