There had been speculation earlier in the afternoon Friday that Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was going to play against the Boston Celtics on Friday night, and according to Tom Thibodeau, Rose will indeed be ready to go.
Rose sat out Chicago's last game -- Wednesday against the Washington Wizards -- which the team won regardless, so no harm was done in that respect. He injured a toe on Tuesday in a collision with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Tolliver; the incident happened in the first quarter, though Ros still logged 42 minutes and scored 31 points.
John Lucas III started in Rose's place against the Wizards.
