Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls Guard Says He Will Play Friday Vs. Boston Celtics

Derrick Rose has been battling a toe sprain that Tom Thibodeau has emphatically denied is turf toe, and despite classified by the Chicago Bulls as a game-time decision, Rose insists he will play on Friday night against the Boston Celtics. Rose only had limited participation in team shoot around this morning and has been wearing a protective walking boot while not on the court, but ESPN's Rich Bucher is reporting that Rose informed him that he will play on Friday night.

Tom Thibodeau has only said that Rose will "warm up tonight and see if he can go," but apparently the young star wants to tip the scales and put the pressure on himself to suit up. Point guard counterpart Rajon Rondo has been playing at a breakneck speed in recent games, so if Rose does make it on the court it shouldn't take very long to find out if he is 100 percent. Here is the link for everything you need to find Friday night's game.
