Derrick Rose Injury: Bulls PG Likely To Miss Game Against Wizards

After Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose vowed to play the following day against the Washington Wizards despite having an aggravated turf toe injury. The toe injury has gotten worse since Rose made those comments, though, and K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that he'll miss Wednesday's game in D.C.

Rose played brilliantly in the second half of Tuesday's game after the injury, finishing the game with 31 points and 11 assists in a 111-100 victory over Minnesota. He aggravated his turf toe early in the first quarter during a collision with Timberwolves forward Anthony Tolliver, but returned to the game after a short trip to the locker room. Following the game, he vowed to play against the Wizards on Wednesday, but that now appears unlikely as the situation has worsened.
