The 2012 Olympic Team roster is being whittled down and Chicago Bulls Carlos Boozer did not make the cut. One Bulls player did however in point guard Derrick Rose, according to a report by Chris Sheriden of SheridenHoops.com. This should come as no real surprise that Rose has made the cut for the 2012 Olympic Team that will play in London. From SheridenHoops.com, here is the rest of the preliminary roster:
LaMarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Durant, Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Lamar Odom, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, Russell Westbrook, and Deron Williams.
The final 12-man roster must be officially submitted by June 18th, but the initial list of all 18 finalists needs to be provided to the U.S. Olympic Committee by the end of January to initiate the IOC drug testing program to ensure compliance.
