2011 NBA Playoffs: Want Your Own Bulls Championship Ring?

No, Gar Forman and John Paxson are not going to sign you to a 10-day -- or even a one-day -- contract and let you take part in what we all hope is a Bulls title run this year.

But you can own an actual Bulls championship ring that once belonged to the late Johnny "Red" Kerr, the first coach of the team and later a legendary broadcaster. Rick Levin & Associates is holding an online auction for Kerr's 1991 championship ring. Here's how they describe it:

The top panel shows a gold Bulls logo sitting on top of a double inlaid black onyx stone with 30 surrounding inlaid diamond stones. On the left panel is the name “KERR, above the image of the Larry O’Brien championship trophy and the “61-21” record of the Bulls 1990-1991 regular season. Below that is the word “TV”. “World Champions” is on the right panel along with the year “1991” around the NBA logo. Below the NBA logo is the Bulls playoff record of “15-2”. The ring comes in a black velour box

Sounds great, right? Better hurry; the online auction ends Monday at 11 a.m. And better bring lots of cash, too. As of early today the bidding was at $4,000.
