James Johnson, who was selected by the Bulls in the first round of the NBA draft in 2009, was traded to the Raptors today, pulled off the court during practice and, according to at least one tweet, left "in a limo."
↵Too bad -- he could have at least boarded the Bulls' charter flight to Toronto for tomorrow's game, where he'll likely play against his former teammates. Now we also know why Johnson was sent to the D-League for a while; it was so he could get some playing time while the Raptors (and maybe other teams, who knows) could scout him. In 13 games for the Bulls this year, Johnson averaged 3.2 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 1.1 apg and shot .415 from the field.
↵The Bulls will receive Miami's first-round pick in this summer's draft -- that pick was sent to the Raptors in the Chris Bosh deal last summer. Yet another reason Bulls fans can hope that the Heat lose every game they play and have an early exit from the playoffs.
