Michael Jordan Announces Engagement

Former Chicago Bull and Washington Wizard Michael Jordan has announced he is engaged. The current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats is engaged to Yvette Prieto who has been his girlfriend for a long time. This will be the second marriage for the hall of famer. ↵

Jordan was married to Juanita for 17 years before they got divorced in 2006. The two have three children together.

The engagement reportedly happened on Christmas Day. Jordan's last public appearance was in his normal courtside seats at the Bobcats and Bucks opener on Monday with Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter.

Various outlets have reported that Jordan and Prieto are celebrating the engagement on a yacht overseas, but that is being denied by a Jordan representative.

Jordan gained his claim to fame for his time spent with the Chicago Bulls in the 1980's and 1990's. The North Carolina graduate helped lead the Bulls to six championships during his tenure in Chicago.
