Video: Chicago Bulls Prospect Nikola Mirotic Named Euroleague MVP For December

Nikola Mirotic is hardly a household name in Chicago, but if the Bulls' 20-year old prospect continues his stellar play for Real Madrid in the highly-regarded Euroleague, fans will be clamoring for the stateside arrival of the 6'10 forward soon enough.

After helping his team to a 4-0 month that included wins over three top-16 teams, Mirotic has been named the league's December MVP. Mirotic finished December averaging 18.5 points and 6.8 rebounds for the month. Video of Mirotic's 26 point performance against Maccabi Electra on December 8 can be seen after the jump.

Mirotic was acquired in a draft day deal with the Houston Rockets. The 23rd overall selection in the first round, Mirotic has been earning glowing reviews since the draft. The esteemed Mark Deeks of Sham Sports went as far to call him the "steal of the draft" earlier this month.

For as impressive as Mirotic looks, Bulls fans shouldn't expect him in Chicago any time soon. The forward's lofty buyout with Real Madrid likely means he won't be a Bull for two or three seasons after this one.
