The Bulls had struggled offensively throughout the second half, and when Kobe Bryant nailed a shot to put the Lakers up 87-81 with less than a minute left in the game, it looked like Chicago's chances had gone up in smoke.
After a 56-point first half, the Bulls were limited to just 12 points in the third quarter and scored a total of 21 points through the first 22 minutes of the second half, but they were still within striking distance, and the desperate rally that followed that Bryant shot -- capped by an outstanding acrobatic hook shot by Derrick Rose -- proved enough for the Bulls to reclaim the lead and take the game.
