Reports continue to grow about the suspected mutual interest of the Chicago Bulls and free agent forward Caron Butler. On Thursday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported Butler was working out in Chicago and did not seem interested in going elsewhere:
Butler's interest in the Bulls reportedly stems from the presence of reigning MVP Derrick Rose, but, interestingly, Rose's presence may actually make the signing more difficult as the new CBA has ensured Rose will fetch a mighty payday this season, constraining the Bulls' budget.
The Bulls have also shown interest in free agent forward Tayshaun Prince, who -- along with Butler -- is also being courted by the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers currently have more spending ability, so the Bulls may be hard pressed to get either forward.
