Chicago Bulls Training Camp 2011: Richard Hamilton Begins Practicing, Will Be Allowed To Wear A Headband In Games

The Chicago Bulls signed guard Richard Hamilton to a two-year deal earlier in the week and hhe hasn't spent enough time in practice to make coach Tom Thibodeau comfortable with playing him in the team's preseason opener on Friday night:

"Each day he’ll do a little more," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "But one day and a shootaround, I didn’t feel comfortable with it."

Hamilton could make his preseason debut on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers, but whenever his debut comes, he'll be wearing his mask and headband just as fans have come to expect. The organization made an exception to its rule banning headbands because Hamilton needs one to help keep his mask -- or "cape," as he refers to it -- secure on his face.
