LeBron James 'Doubtful' For Saturday's Bulls/Heat Game

It may not disappoint Bulls fans too much — well, maybe except those who paid huge scalper prices for tickets — but according to KC Johnson at Chicago Breaking Sports, the injured LeBron James is “doubtful” for tonight’s game vs. the Miami Heat at the United Center.

James sprained his ankle on Tuesday when the Heat lost to the Clippers. He didn’t play in Miami’s game in Denver on Thursday night. Now, here’s an updated report:

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said James didn’t participate in the team’s morning shoot-around and was “doubtful” for the Bulls game because of the ankle sprain he suffered in Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers in Los Angeles.

“He did not go through the shootaround,” Spoelstra said. “We have not ruled him out. But it is doubtful. He is feeling better. He’s going to come over on the first bus, get treatment, try to loosen it up. And we’ll make that determination then.”

If this helps the Bulls beat the Heat in Miami’s only regular season visit to the United Center this year, so much the better. If this injury means the Bulls have a shot at getting playoff positioning ahead of the Heat, even better.

The game starts at 7 p.m. CST on WGN (local only) or NBA-TV (nationally).
