Bulls Out Of Carmelo Anthony Sweepstakes 'For Now'

The Bulls and Nuggets have reached an impasse in trade negotiations regarding Carmelo Anthony, the high-scoring forward who wants out of Denver, Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports. Two factors are at play here: first, the Bulls don't want to part with budding star center Joakim Noah. Second, the Nuggets don't want to take back Luol Deng, whose contract runs an additional four years at over $51 million.

Unless either side budges--which seems unlikely for now--Anthony won't wind up in the Windy City. Anthony might be disappointed; Berger notes that the Bulls are among the three teams in which his representatives are most interested. The Knicks and Nets are the other two.
