Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Derrick Rose poured in 29 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, as the Bulls snapped a seven-game series skid against the Los Angeles Lakers with an 88-84 triumph at United Center.
Carlos Boozer tallied 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls, who have won four in a row overall. This was their first victory over the Lakers since December 19, 2006 in the Windy City. Luol Deng netted 14 points and Kyle Korver 13 in the win. Rose also had nine assists.
Kobe Bryant had 23 points and seven assists for the Lakers, who had a season- low in scoring and had a three-game winning streak broken. Bryant (26,398) moved into 11th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing John Havlicek (26,395). Dominique Wilkins (26,668) is in 10th place.
