Derrick Rose Named NBA Eastern Conference Player Of The Week

LeBron James? Who? Dwyane Wade? Huh? Chris Bosh? Never heard of him. Bulls guard Derrick Rose, not any of the insufferable trio who "took their talents to South Beach", has been named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the games from Monday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 14.

Rose led the Bulls to a 3-0 week, averaging 21.3 points on .431 shooting from the field. He also compiled 27 assists during the week, 13 of which came in a win over the Warriors when Rose recorded a double-double, his third of the season.

Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz was named Western Conference Player of the Week. The Bulls' Joakim Noah was one of the nominees... and to be fair, James and Wade were also among those nominees. The Bulls will begin a six-game road trip in Houston against the Rockets on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. CST.
