Monta Ellis tallied 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists for the Warriors, who were without center David Lee (elbow). Stephen Curry had 17 points, six assists, and five steals for Golden State, which fell to 2-2 on a five-game road trip.
Andris Biedrins’ hook shot gave Golden State an 8-6 edge, but the visitors never led the rest of the way. Chicago responded with a 14-2 run that Rose ended with a jumper for a 20-10 margin with under six minutes to go.
The Bulls ripped off 10 unanswered points moments later to extend their lead. Deng tallied six points during the burst, which Rose ended with a layup and dunk to make it 30-16. The home team took a 34-20 advantage into the second.
Chicago used a 15-3 flurry during the middle stages of the second to essentially put the game out of reach. Taj Gibson had six points during the run that saw the Bulls take a 61-31 lead. It was 66-38 at the half.
The Warriors never threatened in the second half.
