With a 45-37 record in the 2011-12 season the Chicago Blackhawks earned the No. 6-seed in the Western Conference before being promptly eliminated from the playoffs in the first round by the Phoenix Coyotes. The disappointing season was due largely in part to subpar play from the goalies, namely Corey Crawford.
That's reflected again in the release of the ratings for EA Sports' NHL '13, with Crawford receiving a rating of 82 and his backup, Ray Emery, rated as a 76.
The good news for Blackhawks fans is that it shouldn't be too difficult to score goals on the game with the 90-rated Jonathan Toews leading the middle of the Chicago offense. Keith Hossa, an 89-rated player, and Patrick Sharp, with an 87-rating, should also help gamers score with the Blackhawks.
