Jonathan Toews Injury: Blackhawks Captain Could Play Saturday

Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Minnesota Wild, but he may play against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, according to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun Times. He also reports that Dave Bolland, who's been dealing with an upper body injury, has been given the same status as Toews.

Speaking with Jahns, Toews said that effects from his concussion are still "lingering" at the moment, so even now he's not 100 percent. The Blackhawks have been cautious with their star player as he recovers from the head injury, even though there are just a few games left in the season.

Having Toews back for the postseason is going to be key for Chicago. The Blackhawks have already clinched a playoff spot with their 44-26-10 record, but they're currently lined up for the No. 6 seed.
