Blackhawks Vs. Coyotes Score Update: After Scoreless First Period, Phoenix Takes 1-0 Lead

The Chicago Blackhawks, trailing the Phoenix Coyotes 3-1 in the first round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs, have fallen to a 1-0 deficit early in the second period. After neither side was able score in the first period, it appeared the Blackhawks had the statistical advantage, shooting three times as many shots as the home team, but the analysts were not convinced:

And then, just minutes into the second period, the Phoenix offense broke through for a C Gilbert Brule goal and Coyotes 1-0 lead:

The Blackhawks had a 5-on-3 power play midway through the first period, but the Coyotes defense stymied the Blackhawks offense.
