Blackhawks Vs. Coyotes, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 3 Final Score: Phoenix Prevails In Overtime

The Phoenix Coyotes took a 2-1 series lead by winning Game 3 of their opening round series in the 2012 NHL playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks in overtime on Tuesday night. Phoenix's Mikkel Boedker beat Chicago goalie Corey Crawford with seven minutes remaining in the overtime session to give the Coyotes the win.

Game 3 will be remembered for two things: Raffi Torres' vicious hit on 'Hawks star Marian Hossa in the first period that caused Hossa to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher, and a wild third period that saw the teams exchange three minutes in less than a 1:30.

Andrew Brunette and Michael Frolik tallied goals in the game for Chicago.
