Blackhawks Vs. Coyotes Score Update: Phoenix Takes 2-1 Heading Into 2nd Period

After taking a quick 1-0 lead in the first period, the Chicago Blackhawks find themselves trailing the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1 in Game 2 of the 2012 NHL Playoffs opening series.

After a slashing penalty on LW Antoine Vermette gave the Blackhawks a power play, LW Bryan Bickell managed to sneak a 12-foot backhand shot through for the game's first goal. But the Coyotes fought back and managed three shots within 30 seconds with the fourth shot landing for a LW Raffi Torres goal and 1-1 game.

The Coyotes took the lead late when C Jonathan Toews drew an interference call against G Mike Smith, and Vermette turned the ensuing power play into a goal and 2-1 Coyotes lead.
