The Chicago Blackhawks have won four in a row, and tonight's contest against the rival Vancouver Canucks offers a nice litmus test. After two periods at the United Ceter, the Canucks and 'Hawks are tied 1-1 despite Chicago holding a substantial advantage in the shot department.
The Canucks wasted no time welcoming themselves to Chicago. Jannik Hansen lit the lamp for the 15th time this season to give Vancouver the early lead off a pass from teammate Samuel Pahlsson. It was the only goal of the first period.
Patrick Kane would answer for Chicago in the second. Kane beat Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo for his 20th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1, where we stand heading into the third and final period.
The Blackhawks have outside the Canucks 23-9 thus far.
