Blackhawks Vs. Senators Score Update: Ottawa Up 1-0 After 1st Period

Jonathan Toews is out of Chicago's lineup Friday night, but the team hasn't had any trouble getting pucks to the net so far; they out-shot the Ottawa Senators 17-9 in the first period. But it's the Senators who have the early 1-0 lead -- Milan Michalek got the Senators on the board with his 29th goal of the season, which came at the 15:35-mark of the period.

Ottawa dominated faceoffs 13-3, while Chicago is out-hit Ottawa 11-7. The Blackhawks couldn't convert on their lone power play opportunity, which came around the midway point of the first.
