Blackhawks Vs. Capitals Final Score: Chicago Takes 5-2 Victory

The Chicago Blackhawks got two goals from Andrew Shaw on Sunday night and built a 4-1 lead on the Washington Capitals before ultimately claiming a 5-2 win. The victory is Chicago's third in a row as the team tries to work its way back up the Western Conference standings.

Shaw got the scoring started at the 3:35-mark of the first period, and Viktor Stalberg followed that up with a goal of his own about four minutes later. Mike Knuble scored early in the second period for Washington to cut the margin to 2-1, but that was as close as the Capitals would be able to get.

Patrick Kane and Andrew Shaw pushed the lead back to 4-1, and Bryan Bickell put a cap on the evening with an empty-netter late in the third.
