It's been two action-packed, back-and-forth periods tonight between the Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs and heading into the third, the score reads as such: Blackhawks 4, Maple Leafs 3. Chicago trailed 3-2 heading into the second period, but the 'Hawks were lifted by two of their superstar scorers to retake the lead.
This has hardly been the best year of Patrick Kane's career, but perhaps a second period goal against the Maple Leafs will get him going. Kane's 15th score of the season came off assists from Andrew Brunette and Sami Lepisto. Forward Marian Hossa would push the score to 4-3 when he beat Toronto goalie Jonas Gustavsson for his 25th score of the season. Patrick Kane and Nick Leddy were credited with assists on Hossa's goal.
