The Rockford IceHogs, who are the American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, are off to an 0-1-1 start in AHL play.

The IceHogs played their first two games in their parent club's arena, as they took on the Chicago Wolves, who are affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks. On Friday, Rockford lost in a shootout. Goaltender Carter Hutton didn't allow a goal during regulation, but surrendered three in the shootout.

Saturday's game was a change of pace, as Chicago scored often on its way to a 5-3 victory. IceHogs left wing Jeremy Morin scored two goals in the game, while center Marcus Kruger added another. Nick Leddy and Martin St. Pierre had two assists apiece in the losing effort. Hutton was nowhere near as sharp as he was on Friday, allowing five goals in just 19 shot attempts.

Rockford will be back in action on Friday at Peoria, before making its home opener Saturday against Charlotte.
