Patrick Sharp Injury: Hawks Star To Miss 3-4 Weeks

Blackhawks star to miss time with wrist injury.

Just when 2012 couldn't get any worse for the Chicago Blackhawks, they got even more bad news on Monday. One of their best players could miss the next month of the season.

Patrick Sharp was injured in Sunday's loss to the Red Wings. The Blackhawks are calling Sharp's injury an upper body injury and aren't being much more specific than that. It did appear in the game that Sharp took a hit to the wrist and left the game in the first period. Sharp went to the locker room in after that incident and did not return.

The Blackhawks were one of the best teams in hockey, but have come across hard times of late. The Hawks have lost four in a row and now will be without the services of one of their best players for a few weeks.

Sharp has 20 goals and 20 assists so far this season.
