Blackhawks Vs. Panthers: Hawks Up 2-0 After One

The 30 minute delay of tonight's game apparently did little to throw the Chicago Blackhawks off any rhythm, as the team used two goals late in the first period to take an early commanding lead over the Florida Panthers. The scores came from captain Jonathan Towes, who netted the puck for the 27th time of the year on assists from Patrick Kane and Viktor Stalberg, and Duncan Keith, who's third goal of the season came on the power play with help from Marian Hossa and Nick Leddy.

The Kieth goal came after Florida's Keaton Ellerby got sent to the box for boarding Chicago's Andrew Sharp, which was one of three penalties racked up by the Panthers in the first.
