Blackhawks Vs. Oilers Final Score: 'Hawks Fall At Home To Edmonton

Home losses are rare these days for the Chicago Blackhawks, but on Monday the Edmonton Oilers invaded the United Center and left Chicago with a 4-3 win. The loss was fourth of the season in regulation at the United Center for the Blackhawks. At 24-11-4 with 52 points, the 'Hawks will remain in top spot in the Western Conference despite the loss.

Ben Eager put Edmonton up 4-2 mid-way through the third period when he beat Chicago goalie Corey Crawford for his third goal of the season off an assist from Jeff Petry. Chicago rookie Jimmy Hayes, making just his second NHL appearance, would tally his first professional goal minutes later to cut the score to 4-3 off assists from Bryan Bickell and Jamal Mayers

The game turned on a second period five-minute major penalty on called on the Blackhawks' Daniel Carcillo, which led to a pair of power play goals for Edmonton.
