Looking at last nights Hawks score, some fans I'm sure are disappointed that they lost in overtime for the second straight time. For those that missed the game, it actually was one of the better comebacks this season for the Hawks.
After being outplayed in the first period, the Hawks dominated the last two periods. They probably would have won in regulation if it wasn't for the superior play of Wings goalie Jimmy Howard. The Hawks scored with around 0:30 left in regulation to get at least one point for their effort.
Sunday Night the Hawks are back on the ice. Chicago welcomes the San Jose Sharks to the United Center in what should be a great game between two of the best in the Western Conference. Sunday will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams. The Blackhawks are 0-1-1 in the previous two games.
Scheduled to start in goal for the Blackhawks is Corey Crawford. Crawford played excellent against the Red Wings on Saturday, but earned a tough loss. The Hawks netminder is 16-10-3 with a GAA of 2.83.
In goal for the Sharks will be former Blackhawk Antti Niemi. Niemi is having a fine season in net for the Sharks with a record of 19-7-5 and a GAA of 2.26. For those that may not remember, Niemi was the Blackhawks goalie for the 2009-2010 Stanley Cup Championship team.
The Hawks and Sharks are scheduled to start at 6:00 CST. The game will be televised on WGN.
