2011 NHL Playoffs: 'Blackhawks Bash' Kicks Off Playoff Season Tuesday

Are you getting excited about the Blackhawks being in the playoffs again? It was a close call, but now anything can happen (just ask last year's Montreal Canadiens about being a No. 8 seed -- they made it to the conference finals).

WGN Radio is hosting a "Blackhawks Bash" Tuesday at Pioneer Court on Michigan Avenue, right outside their studios, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Among the highlights of this event are appearances by Blackhawks legends Stan Mikita, Denis Savard and Bobby Hull; interactive games with Blackhawks prizes; appearances by Tommy Hawk, the Blackhawks Street Team, the Bud Light Ice Crew and the Blackhawks Blues Mobile. There will also be live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from Dot Dot Dot.

Admission is free and if you can't make it, you can hear Savard, Mikita and Hull live on WGN radio Tuesday starting at 11:35 a.m.

The Blackhawks begin their series with the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Central; it'll be carried on WIND radio (and joined in progress by WGN after the Cubs game) and CSN Chicago.
