With the start of baseball season, there are conflicts between Cubs radio broadcasts on WGN and late-season Blackhawks games. They nearly had one yesterday when the Cubs' spring training game with the Diamondbacks went long, and ended about five minutes after the puck dropped in Boston. WGN stayed with the Cubs and joined the Blackhawks game late.
↵↵Today, the Blackhawks announced today that the games on Friday, April 8 (6:00 p.m. puck drop) and Sunday, April 10 (11:30 a.m.) have been switched to WIND-AM (560) due to Cubs games being on WGN on those days. Regular broadcasters John Wiedeman and Troy Murray will still handle the call of the contests.
↵↵Along with listening to the radio broadcast, you can catch the April 8 tilt on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and the April 10 regular-season finale on NBC. They're also available online at wgnradio.com/listen and on a myriad of mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, BlackBerry and Droid. More details at wgnradio.com/mobile.
↵↵The other four remaining regular-season Blackhawks games on April 1, 3, 5 and 6 can still be heard on WGN radio.
