Blackhawks defenseman Jordan Hendry, no relation to Cubs general manager Jim Hendry, had to be helped off the ice last night with an apparent knee injury.
Today, the team issued a statement indicating that Hendry will miss the rest of this season with that injury. From Blackhawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry:
“Jordan injured his left knee last night during a collision into the boards and has sustained an ACL tear. He will undergo reconstructive surgery shortly and we anticipate a full recovery in approximately six months.”
Best wishes to Jordan for a full recovery and a return to the ice next year.
