The Chicago Blackhawks only have one game during the weekend as they defeated the New York Islanders on Thursday night. That's on Sunday, Dec. 11, when they host the San Jose Sharks in a match between Western Conference contenders.
The Blackhawks are having a very solid year so far, posting a 17-8-4 record over the team's first 29 games. A powerful offense has led the way, as only three teams in the NHL are scoring more per game than the Blackhawks so far this season. The game against San Jose starts at 7:00 p.m. ET, and it will be broadcast on television on WGN.
San Jose has struggled of late, losing four of its past five games since starting the season 13-5-1. At one span during the season the Sharks won 12 of 15 games, but they'll be challenged if they want to get back on track against the Blackhawks.
